...to Forsaken Serenity, a small yet growing, anime-themed graphics website. This site is maintained by the hard-working and determined graphic designer named Kioku. Forsaken Serenity offers anything from icons/avatars, vectors, and even Mp3 music and AVI video downloads. I really hope that you enjoy your stay and will come back soon! Okay, so I'm putting Haloscan commenting for every update. Everyone's eccentrical in their own little way. ^^

I had a vector I started on July 6th, nearly just one month ago. To think of it, I was actually planning on throwing it out because the lines didn't turn out that good. Incidentally, it turns out that I'm restarting the vector. Hah. xD So expect another new vector in the gallery around late or mid next week... Or early next week if I'm lucky.

I'm thinking, once my site reaches up to at least 20 vectors, I guess I'll categorize the vectors by series. There's no sense doing it now, to have 1-2 vectors in each section. xD

  1. Revamped the "About the Owners" page to take up less space than before.

  1. One vector from Shakugan no Shana. Come to think of it, I delayed the revamp for about one week (thus making it almost three weeks in length) because of this vector. My, the lines must have took me 7-9 hours at the most...

  1. New link exchanges, Marie at Honey Skies, Mika at Kisumaku, and Ziyan at Swift-Tranquility.
  2. As well as fixed the vectors page.
  3. Added one Yozakura Quartet vector.
  4. Deleted the linear arts (I don't even think people use them, xD).
  5. Added a Download videos page.
  6. Rewrote the introduction statement.
  7. Fixed the Frequently Asked Questions page.
  8. Fixed the Terms of Use page.
  9. Added things on the About the owners page. Warning: it's a 14 KB page, and long in length. Please read it anyways. ^^

Forsaken Serenity 7th Edition: These ENDLESS ILLUSIONS Have Me Running in CIRCLES | Posted by Kioku |

In the end, this layout took longer than I expected it to, also including the revamp. Making the layout is the easy part, but thinking of ideas is the hardest part! Also, coding this layout was a bit difficult, but I finally grasped the idea of centered tables now. Sort of. Oh, and if you've noticed, there isn't the name of the layout on the actual image itself. I did that on purpose. As well as the title tags.

Arrgh. I've never really learned the full lesson of table layouts (I usually just make layouts with the same code over and over again), so coding a centered layout was a bit difficult for me. Well, that's considering the fact that I coded it without the help of a tutorial, and using my existing knowledge of tables, tr, td, and etc.

Okay, so I'm accepting nine more affiliates. Because of this revamp, my expectations are much higher than before. In other words, you've got to be really good to get accepted by me. So beware.

[EDIT Aug. 04] In the future, I don't think I'll be making icons that much anymore. I'm going to focus my graphic skills in the wallpapers and vectors section. [/EDIT Aug. 04]

Updates:
  1. Deleted Blacklist page. I don't really need it unless there's something to fill it with. And the only people that should really go on my blacklist right now are my staff members.
  2. I also deleted the Donations page. It's no use to have a page up when nobody uses it/donates to it.
  3. Removed the ending tag for p from all (or at least, mostly all) of the pages on FS, and replaced it with double br. (Really, you probably don't know what I'm talking about unless you have a site yourself. xD)
  4. Rearranged the Transparent PNG page to take up less space than before, by having two PNGs on one row.
  5. Added one vector from Yozakura Quartet.
  6. Added 9 new PNGs.
  7. Deleted the last two wallpapers from the wallpapers page, leaving one wall left.
  8. I put the old avatars/icons [I don't like] into an Old Icons page, which is a total of 65 icons.
  9. This isn't an update... but when I looked over my PNG page, it seems like we lost two PNGs! I don't have them on my computer, sadly, and in the future I'll be more active with the PNG page to make up for the lost files. (Of course, a life doesn't equal a life, however...)
  10. I also deleted two PNGs because they were a bit bad quality (ex. lines).
  11. Deleted the Linear Arts page and merged it into the Vector Arts page.
  12. Changed Guess the Lyric page. I also changed it so that there were two lyrics IDs.
  13. Deleted the Signs page. Most people in the graphic world like to make their own signs (if they use them) thus I think it's a waste to offer web signs on FS.
  14. I started using F-Click for my site. Now I can know about the files that have the most downloads. Nifty, eh?
  15. Tanya of Monday Killer has been promoted from "link exchange" to "affiliate".
  16. Carrie of Pizzazz has been demoted from "sibling" to "affiliate". I decided that I'm not having siblings on this site.
  17. I deleted the bad quality and ugly layouts off the site.

Future wishes:
  1. Making more wallpapers.
  2. More vectors.
  3. Paying more attention to the small things (ex. CSS).
