Description: The name of the layout was inspired by Hitomi Takahashi's song called "Get the Future". In one line of the chorus, she says, "I'm gonna get the future." In this image, Shana definitely appears to be in need of grasping something - "getting the future". Preview

Title: V5. Exile Layout Type: Tables Series: D.Gray-man Featuring: Lenalee Lee Creator: Kioku Used from: May. 19, '08 - Jun. 23, '08 Description: At first, I enjoyed this design. Insipred by the icon I made the day before designing, I thought it would turn out as a satisfactory layout. However, when I viewed it from another perspective, I did not enjoy it at all; and noticed the lack of effort put into it. Thus, I wanted to change it within a week of having it up. Due to the lack of inspiration and ideas, I didn't change it until the fifth week of having it up. My graphic skills clearly and surely lacked in the making of this layout. Preview

Title: V4.5. Lament Layout Type: Tables Series: D.Gray-man Featuring: Allen Walker (and young Allen) Creator: Kioku Used from: Apr. 12, '08 - May. 19, '08 Description: For version four of Forsaken Serenity, I had originally planned many things... In the end, the stabilized idea was to use my new favourite animanga, Hoshino Katsura's D.Gray-man! Anyways, at first I decided to do something with chapter sixty's page and blending it chapter fifty-eight's page, but that didn't go very well. (That is why this layout is called "v.4.5" instead of plain "v.4".) It was too hard using mainly a scheme of black and white again, as I had used that colour scheme for version one and one of the premades on the website that was supposed to be version three. Anyways, this was a scan from AnimePaper that I found the day before starting this layout. It's similar to a scrapbook-like layout... I never used the part of the layout where it says "images" and "siblings anf affiliates"... Preview

Oblivious Layout Type: Tables Series: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Featuring: Haruhi Suzumiya Creator: Kioku Used from: Feb. 23, '08 - Apr. 12, '08 Description: Ahh, this was put on for a very long time. I was only planning on leaving it up for about a month or so, but I've been watching D.Gray-man and doing homework and et cetera. I also didn't have any ideas for a next layout so this wasn't changed until a good few weeks later. Anyways, I used alot of brushes on this layout, which was something I intended to do. I did not intend to use another character from Haruhi Suzumiya, but in the end, I decided to go with it because it was a vector. I usually aim to use a vector or scan. I prefer original manga art over anime art. It looks better, haha. I got the name Oblivious from an amazing Haruhi AMV I saw on Youtube. The term oblivious means unaware of your surroundings. That's pretty much the word equivalent to Haruhi, as she is a very strange but bold girl, not caring whatever's around her as long as she's enjoying herself. Okay, guess that's all I need to say. Refinement Layout Type: DIV Series: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Featuring: Mikuru Asahina Creator: Kioku Used from: Jan. 11, '08 - Feb. 23, '08 Description: I really liked this image of Mikuru, and it was easy to extract. I didn't really change the image nor did I add much to the image as a layout overall. This was made when my two friends and I were doing cosplay of Haruhi Suzumiya, Mikuru Asahina (Kaihime), and Yuki Nagato (Kioku) on Gaia Online... My SOS Brigade phase. Indelible Friendship Layout Type: DIV Series: Monokuro Boo Featuring: Monokuro Boo Creator: Kioku Used from: Nov. 29, '07 (Website opening date) - Jan. 11, '08 Description: This one was fairly simple, and when I look back to it now, I think I must have been on my "brush phase" where I just stamped on alot of my good brushes into a big collage. In other words, when I look back to it, it didn't incorporate any of the graphic skills I've learned over time.
